This wonderful event happens over two weekends in October, the 4th to 6th and the 11th to 13th. Add some wine tasting and great dining and you have the perfect Willamette Valley Wine getaway. 27th Annual Art Harvest Studio Tour

The talented artists of Amity, Seridan, McMinnville,Artistic equipment in studio: canvas on wooden easel, paint brushes, paints and used palette. Newberg and Sherwood swing open the doors of their studios and each year thousands of visitors come to admire their work. Not only see their latest creations but also to talk to the artists themselves. Learn about their creative process with hands on demonstrations. This diverse group work in every imagined medium with a wide array of styles. Find classic landscapes, still-lifes, portraits and wildlife paintings and photographs. While stylized or abstract pieces vibrate with color in bold paintings, pastels or digital arts. Excellent crafts are also found in unique jewelry, fabric arts, and ceramics. The wide range of art has something for every art lover and you are sure to find a treasure to take home. 

One can get hungry and work up a thirst visiting all these studios. Support the studio tour and enjoy a great meal or sample excellent wine at one of the generous sponsors of the event. Three Amity wineries support the Art Harvest Studio Tour and make a welcome break during the day. Silas Wines has a tasting room in Amity called The Bramble. Their giant wooden table invites you to meet your fellow guests while tasting their wine or enjoying an Oregon beer. Franny Beck Wines create balanced, elegant wines from only organically or biodynamically grown grapes. Visit their tasting room in Amity as well. Just north of Amity find the Keeler Estates’ relaxing and welcoming tasting room. Their organic, biodynamic vineyard resides on the southwest slope of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA with sweeping valley views.

The Blue Raeven Pie and Farmstand not only have the freshest fruit pies, but also savory pies, soups, sandwiches, and other baked goods. Their farmstand and grocery store carries fresh fruit, vegetables, wines and gift baskets too. Visit The Common Cup espresso and waffle bar for an unique brunch or lunch experience. Build your own original waffle with a choice of batters, fillings and toppings or select one of their delicious signature waffles. Enjoy a hearty lunch at the Amity Bakery but their motto is; “Life is short, eat dessert first!” Save room for out-of-this-world cookies, doughnuts, scones, or other sweet treats. For an elegant lunch or dinner you can’t beat The Blue Goat Restaurant. The art of excellent wood-fired food is expressed in the menu and atmosphere of this very original restaurant. Oregon artist Kiko Denzer designed and built the central wood-fired oven and co-owner, Cassie Van Domelen, painted the restaurant’s iconic “Blue Goat.” See more of her work at her studio on the art tour. This is a great place to end your day with a house-crafted cocktail and a choice of internationally inspired dishes made from locally harvested ingredients.
